The Township consists of 14,100 acres or over 22 square miles.  The elevation ranges from 460 to 1,040 feet above sea level.  Our population in the 2000 census was 8,383.  The real estate tax rate is 7.8 mills, each property is also assessed 1.5 mills for fire protection.

Our Federal Congressmen are Rep. Tim Holden, Sen. Patrick Toomey, and Sen. Bob Casey

Our State Congressmen are Rep. Rosemarie Swanger and Sen.  Mike Folmer.

We have 3 polling places in the Township - the Township building, the Avon Fire Company and the Friendship Fire Company.  Questions regarding voter registration should be directed to the County Voter Registration office at 717-274-2801.
