As time continues to pass, the number of volunteers that are able and willing to dedicate their services to the community has continues to decline. We welcome anyone who is willing to assist with providing service to South Lebanon Township. There are positions for people of all ages. This includes clerical, special projects and public education.
There is currently a junior firefighter program that allows youth 16-17 years of age to learn about the fire service. The Cornwall Lebanon School District has allowed previous junior firefighters to use their service towards senior projects. Junior firefighter activity is strictly and closely regulated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Many junior firefighters go on to transition to senior firefighters at age 18.
There is no cost for potential volunteers. All training and equipment is provided.
If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering, stop by one of the fire companies or contact the Township office at 717-274-0481. All fire companies regularly train on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m.
