The South Lebanon Township Fire Department is responsible for providing an efficient and effective delivery of fire, rescue, and life safety emergency services. Emergency services are delivered from four volunteer fire stations in the township.
The South Lebanon Township Fire Department consists of a partnership between Friendship Fire Company of South Lebanon Township, South Lebanon Fire Company No. 1 (formerly Hebron Hose Company No. 1 and Citizens Fire Company of Avon) and Prescott Community Fire Company. Working alongside the volunteer fire companies is the volunteer South Lebanon Fire Police unit. This partnership allows South Lebanon Township to continue the proud tradition of volunteerism within the community.
In 2017 the South Lebanon Township Fire Department responded to 390 calls for service.
The primary goals of the Fire Department are to:
Reduce and prevent the loss of life and property damage
Improve the quality of life for residents by providing public education and ongoing training for residents and firefighters
